Football: Stevi upsets fifth-ranked Libby

LIBBY —  Jared Schultz threw five touchdown passes to lead Stevensville (2-1) to a 33-0 nonconference Class A football victory over fifth-ranked Libby (3-1) on Friday night.

Jesse Sims was on the receiving end of two TD passes, 46 and 4 yards. He had five catches for 94 yards.

 Zach Gavlak also had five receptions for 95 yards and a touchdown.

 Quarterback Jared Winslow was 5 of 20 passing for 33 yards for Libby. He also rushed 14 times for 35 yards.

Lane Luscher had a pair of interceptions for the Loggers.

BIGFORK — Quarterback Colter Trent passed for three touchdowns and ran for another to guide fifth-ranked Bigfork (3-0) to a lopsided Class B nonconference victory over Conrad.

Trent finished the night 8 of 18 passing for 178 yards. He threw one interception.

 Austin Jordt caught two touchdown passes, 36 and 18 yards, and was a perfect 5 for 5 on PAT kicks.

The game was delayed 20 minutes because Conrad arrived late after its bus broke down in Browning.

ST. IGNATIUS — Jared Brown caught three touchdown passes from Dillon Evans and ran one yard for another score as St. Ignatius (2-1) roared past Eureka in nonconference Class B play.

Eureka (0-3) tied the game at 6-6 on a touchdown by Cole Jankovsk in the opening quarter.

Columbia Falls 43, Browning 2

COLUMBIA FALLS — The Columbia Falls football team won its first home game of the season, beating Browning 43-2.

Ty Morgan scored three touchdowns, two on the ground and one in the air, and Zach Darling had 15 carries for 133 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Wildcats in the rout. Junior quarterback Jared Trinastich was 18 of 33 for 190 yards in the air connecting on two touchdowns.

The Wildcat defense held Browning to 125 yards of offense, with the Indians’ only score coming on a safety in the second quarter.
