Thrift store to help animal adoption center
The Humane Society of Northwest Montana, home of the Charlotte Edkins Animal Adoption Center, is celebrating the grand opening of its new thrift store today.
The thrift store is located at 2165 U.S. 2 E. near the intersection of West Evergreen Drive at the East Side Landing Retail Center in Evergreen.
Hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday to Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. All proceeds will benefit homeless animals at the Adoption Center.
Tax-deductible donations of gently used clothing, furniture, household items, jewelry, books, antiques, art, electronics, pet items, sporting goods, toys and collectibles are accepted during regular store hours.
Items also may be delivered to the Humane Society’s adoption center at 100 Adopt a Pet Way off U.S. 93 between Kalispell and Whitefish, between 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday to Saturday,
In addition to accepting donated items, the Humane Society Thrift Store needs volunteers.
The Humane Society of Northwest Montana is a private, nonprofit 501(c)3 organization that operates a no-kill adoption/care center for orphaned cats and dogs.
