Report of murderous intent unfounded?
The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office received a report from an Oklahoma resident who said she received word that her adopted son, a transient in the area, had been molesting young children and that he was going to take a boy to the woods, kill him and feed him to a pig, and that no one would ever know. Deputies checked on the boy and said he was in fine health and was just cold, hungry and homeless. The call was believed to be unfounded.
An observant shopper, also an ex-Marine, reported seeing four boxes at a yard sale on La Brant Ridge with roughly 160 pounds of C4 high explosives inside.
A pair of good Samaritans turned in found items to deputies. A man’s daughter found several hundred dollars on the ground on East Cottonwood Drive and another person found two wedding bands on U.S. 2 in Kila.
Several callers in Whitefish reported a herd of llamas running loose around Cantrell Court. All but one of the approximately nine or 10 animals, missing from a nearby property, were located.

A concerned person contacted the Kalispell Police Department after seeing a young teenage girl standing in front of a West Idaho Street business, seeming to be “soliciting” any guy that was alone walking in to the store. The person also believed there was a man watching her.
A man reported a vehicle had backed into him on Hutton Ranch Road on Monday and knocked him down. He said he was now in pain and needed to go to the doctor so was reporting the incident.

Binoculars and a bar of copper were stolen from an unlocked vehicle on Fifth Avenue East.
A man was arrested by Columbia Falls Police Department officers after they responded to a physical disturbance on Fifth Avenue East North.
Ongoing thefts from the back porch of a North Nucleus Avenue business were reported.
The Whitefish Police Department received a call from an East Third Street resident asking what 911 was for. The dispatcher discovered she was trying to get in touch with the cable company.
