A 23-year-old Sunburst man was sentenced Thursday in Flathead District Court to five years in prison for burglarizing Flathead High School

Andrew Hermance had pleaded guilty to felony burglary.

Hermance broke a window near the gym of Flathead High School and entered the building on Dec. 4, 2011.

Once inside, he used a screwdriver to try and break into a vending machine and stole cash and 12 to 15 keys.

Hermance was on felony probation at the time of the crime, and his sentence will follow his sentences in two other cases out of Toole County.

In addition to prison time, Hermance was ordered to pay $2,184 in restitution, a $500 fine and a $160 surcharge.
