College fairs planned in Kalispell, Polson
Upcoming events in Kalispell and Polson will give students the chance to shop for colleges and win scholarship money at the annual Montana Post Secondary Educational Opportunities Council college fairs.
Up to 90 higher education institutions will be featured from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Sept. 26 at Polson High School and from 8:15 to 11:30 a.m. Sept. 27 at Flathead High School.
Students may visit with representatives from in-state and out-of-state colleges, universities, technical and trade schools and military branches.
High school students must register online before they attend the fair at www.mpseoclogin.com.
They will receive a bar code to print and bring to the fair.
Registration is also an opportunity for juniors and seniors to enter scholarship drawings. Up to 10 scholarships of $1,000 will be awarded by random drawing.
Although the fairs are geared toward high school students, they are open to the general public. Parents and those interested in pursuing post-secondary education are welcome.
“College fairs allow students to see exactly what is out there and fuels excitement about finding the best fit for them,” Amy Leary, Montana Post Secondary Educational Opportunities Council executive director, said in a press release. “These statewide fairs also help emphasize the quality and variety of colleges and universities available in Montana. With 25 accredited higher education institutions in our state, students are bound to find something that works for them.”
