Perrin wins Butte Invitational cross country; Moon 9th

BUTTE — Zach Perrin won the Butte Invitational cross country meet on Saturday with a time of 14 minutes, 52.98 seconds.

The Flathead senior finished seven seconds ahead of runner-up Adam Peterman of Missoula Hellgate.

Flathead’s Ben Moon was ninth, 16:33.20.

Flathead placed third, 69 points, behind Missoula Hellgate, 41, and Helena, 68, in the team standings.

Flathead’s Billy Allen wound up 17th, 16:59, Jordan Engle finished 20th, 17:07, and Kyle Kosinski was 22nd, 17:09.

Missoula Hellgate also won the girls team title and had the top runner in Paige Gilchrist, 18:01.

Next on the schedule is the Mountain West Classic in Missoula on Saturday.
