Handicap parking spat ends without fight

Sunday afternoon, a caller told the Kalispell Police Department that another man took issue with him parking in a handicap spot at Hutton Ranch Plaza. The caller told police the man told him he was upset and then threatened to use martial arts against him. The parties separated on their own.

Vehicles on Garland Street were silly-stringed. Residents in the area have been having ongoing problems.

Early Sunday morning, a person sleeping in the hall at a hotel on U.S. 93 was not a transient. She was just sleeping outside of the door to the room where she was staying.

Saturday evening, a group of kids were reportedly smoking marijuana at the skate park. Officers were unable to catch them.

Callers reported the driver of a silver pickup for driving around an apartment complex on the lawn and driving drunk.

A Second Avenue West caller reported four or five kids throwing rocks at school buses. An officer advised he spoke to their parents and there was no damage.

A vehicle title found in the hospital parking lot was turned over to police.

Saturday morning, a theft was reported on Central Avenue to the Whitefish Police Department.

A fight was reported on Central Avenue early Sunday morning.

A theft was reported on U.S. 93.

An assault was reported on Central Avenue.

A Sixth Street West man told the Columbia Falls Police on Saturday that a man had attacked him Friday night and put a knife to his throat. Both men had been drinking. The man told police he was not injured, but the man who had attacked him cut his own hand.

A woman reported seeing kids trying to break into some storage units.

A purse snatch in the Ronan area was reported Friday to the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies arrested someone for partner family member assault on Spud Lane.

Polson Police arrested someone for partner family member assault Friday on First Street East.
