Bigfork venue hosts 'Watermedia 2012'

The Bigfork Museum of Art and History will be hosting Watermedia 2012 from Tuesday through Oct. 31.

Fifty artists from all over the United States have been selected to participate in the Montana Watercolor Society’s National Juried Watermedia Exhibit this year. The juror, Carla O’Connor, is a signature member of the American Watercolor Society. Her work has been featured in numerous books and national magazines.

A reception welcoming the artists will be held on from 5 to 7 p.m. Oct. 5. Meet O’Connor and hear her thoughts on the show when she gives a brief presentation at 6 p.m.

The reception is open to the public, and all are welcome.

The Bigfork Museum of Art & History is located at 525 Electric Ave. in downtown Bigfork. Autumn gallery hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.
