Mother accuses son of thievery

The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office got a report from a Whitefish Stage Road resident Wednesday regarding her son stealing tires and the battery from her vehicle.

Someone broke into an office on East Edgewood Drive in the Whitefish area, with cash, GPS units and other items being stolen. A suspect was caught on video.

A passenger window was broken on a vehicle on U.S. 2 West, with a digital camera and a purse being stolen.

A Hoffman Draw resident said a black pickup hit and damaged a gate on the property.

A woman calling from South Cedar Drive said her dog got out and when she went to look for it she was confronted by a man on a neighboring property who said he would kill her dog, upsetting her greatly.

There was a report of a shop being broken into on South Wakewood Drive, with a four-wheeler and possibly other items being stolen.

A person calling from Smith Lake Road said former renters who were evicted returned, broke into the rental and trashed it.

A wallet and other items were stolen from a vehicle on Hidden Hills Lane.

Two sets of tires were stolen from a storage shed on Birch Grove Road.

A person reported witnessing a man tackle a woman to the ground and assaulting her off U.S. 93 west of Whitefish.

Someone driving a van drove off from a store on U.S. 2 in Evergreen without paying for $77 in gas.

A person calling from U.S. 93 south of Whitefish said his vehicle was towed last weekend. When he picked it up, a case with 300 new-release DVDs was missing.

Kalispell Police heard Wednesday from a woman who said she caught three teenage boys trying to steal belongings from her vehicle on Sixth Street East. She said they dropped everything and fled down an alley.

A bicycle was stolen from Fourth Avenue East residence.

An East Idaho business was vandalized with graffiti.

A teenage boy reportedly was assaulted by two men in a green Jeep Cherokee in the Hutton Ranch Plaza area, and the assault apparently was captured on video.

After a traffic stop on North Main Street, a man was arrested on a Columbia Falls warrant.

A man said two teenage boys threw a skateboard through the hatchback window of his vehicle on Third Avenue East and Second Street East. The man had the skateboard and he was out looking for the culprits.

Thursday morning, a woman calling from Widgeon Court said she left her garage door open and two bicycles were stolen.

A man said he left a van at a car dealership on U.S. 93 North in August, and when he went to retrieve it, the van was no longer there.
