'Grease' meets 'Happy Days' in fundraiser

| April 3, 2013 6:00 PM

The Conrad Mansion Museum hosts its 12th annual Death By Chocolate fundraiser, “Death at the Sock Hop,” April 26 and 27.

The event runs from 7 to 10 p.m. each evening. The popular annual event fills the halls of the Conrad Mansion with would-be detectives hoping to solve a murder mystery amid wine, hors d’oeuvres, music and two chocolate fountains.

This year’s title, “Death at the Sock Hop,” follows the theme of “Grease” meets “Happy Days.” Danny and Sandy along with the “Grease” gang meet up with Richie, Fonzie and the “Happy Days” crew at the mansion. As they are enjoying the evening, one in their midst is murdered, and the entire audience participates while they search for the killer. Follow the clues through the various rooms while enjoying this unique comedy drama experience.

The show is written and directed by Leah Lindsay.

The event also features a raffle of various gift baskets from community sponsors.

The event typically sells out, so purchasing tickets early is recommended. Tickets are available at the Conrad Mansion or at the following locations:

• Station 8, 38 U.S. 2 E., Columbia Falls

• Persimmon Gallery, 537 Electric Ave., Bigfork

• Whitefish Gift and Gear, 229 Central Ave., Whitefish

• The Bookshelf, 101 Main St., Kalispell.

Cost is $55 per person, or $50 for museum members. All proceeds benefit Conrad Mansion Museum programs and preservation.
