Hockey: Big Sky Wildcats win 7-0 in pool play
SAN JOSE, Calif — Kalispell’s Stephanie Tartaglino scored and Whitefish’s Janessa Courtney tallied two assists as the Big Sky Wildcats blanked the Frederick (Md.) Fury 7-0 in pool play at the USA Hockey National Championships Wednesday.
The Wildcats, a collection of players from Montana and Idaho, are competing in the Tier II girls 19U tournament.
Alexia Gagliardi (Missoula) netted two goals for the Wildcats, who had a 50-19 advantage in shots on goal.
The Wildcats continue pool play today against the Colorado Tigers, who beat the Washington Wild 2-0 in their opening game.
