Adventurous teens between the ages of 15 and 17 are being sought to go on a four-week summer expedition.

Montana Conservation Corps’ Youth Service Expedition program combines outdoor adventure, volunteer service hours and job skills training.

Two sessions will be offered from June through July and July through August. There is no cost to participants. June 7 is the deadline to apply for the first session and July 12 for the second.

Participants will receive a $200 service award by Montana Conservation Corps and a Presidential Service Award upon completion.

Youth Service Expedition crews will be based in Kalispell, Missoula, Helena, Bozeman and Billings. Crews may conduct projects to protect native habitat in the National Bison Range, conserving sage grouse populations in Southeastern Montana, or helping with natural resource conservation on the Rocky Mountain Front.

Participants will go through an orientation and safety briefing prior to the start of a session.

Applications are available at www.mtcorps.org.
