Bigfork's Gettings tied for 4th in golf

MISSOULA — Lars Gettings of Bigfork shot a 77 on Thursday during the opening round of the Loyola Sacred Heart Invitational golf tournament at Larchmont Golf Course.

Gettings is currently tied for fourth place heading into today’s final round.

Tom Swanson of Loyola shot 68 for a three-shot lead.

Blake Weimer of Bigfork struggled with an 86.

In girls play, Maggie Crippen of Loyola carded an 82 for a three-shot lead on sister Sadie Crippen.

Loyola’s boys and Townsend’s girls had the best team totals.
