Boy on probation for peddling pain medication

A 15-year-old boy alleged to have distributed prescription pain pills at Glacier High School is now on probation.

After admitting some of the allegations against him, Cody Hill last week was placed on probation for at least one year or as long as it takes him to complete the requirements set by the court, or up to age 21, whichever comes first.

In addition to a felony charge of criminal distribution of dangerous drugs on or near school property, Hill was charged with misdemeanor theft and four lesser counts.

Hill allegedly was found with alcoholic beverages he stole from a grocery store as well as a cigarette on Aug. 8, 2012, and he allegedly ran away from home on Aug. 27 of the same year.

The felony drug charge came after Hill allegedly stole 25 of his mother’s Vicodin pills and gave them to at least one student at the high school.

It is unclear which of the allegations Hill admitted to, as that information was not included in court records detailing Hill’s change of plea hearing.
