Glacier opened a busy week on the courts by sweeping Bigfork in dual tennis action on Tuesday at the Flathead Valley Community College courts.

Glacier won 5-1 in girls play with all matches doubles.

Glacier’s boys posted a 7-1 victory.

“Overall, strong play from the doubles, all the way around,” Glacier coach Josh Munro said.

Munro said Kirstyn Haugenoe and Kali Mathison “gutted out” a win at No. 1 doubles while Brad Jones “did a great job coming back from a rough first set” to prevail at No. 4 singles.

Haugenoe and Mathison won 7-5, 2-6, 1-0 (2).

Jones won 4-6, 6-2, 1-0 (7).

This was just the second outing of the spring season. Weather forced play in Missoula last Saturday to be canceled.

Glacier is back in action Thursday versus Flathead and then heads to Missoula on Saturday for more dual action.
