Military musical by local writer opens April 25

| April 10, 2013 7:00 PM

An original musical by a local playwright opens April 25 at Glacier High School.

JeAnna Wisher’s “The Pilgrimage” tells the story of five young military enlistees. It follows them through boot camp, into their first battle and through the heart-rending suffering that follows that fight.

Wisher said she wrote the musical to alert audiences to the plight of young men and women returning from military service.

“The Pilgrimage” will be staged April 25, 28 and 29 and May 3-5 in the Glacier High School performance hall. All shows are at 7 p.m.

Tickets are $10 at the door, with half-price tickets available April 25. All proceeds from the show will be donated to the Northwest Montana Veterans Food Pantry.
