Measure elected to Flathead Electric Cooperative board

Challenger Bruce Measure has unseated Flathead Electric Cooperative trustee George Taylor, who has served the co-op’s District 7 since 2005. District 7 includes the Kalispell area south of U.S. 2.

Measure, a longtime Kalispell attorney, served on the Flathead Electric board several years ago. He took a leave of absence from the Measure, Sampsel, Sullivan & O’Brien law firm to serve as a member of the Northwest Power and Conservation Council. He has completed his work with the council and is resuming his law practice.

District 1 trustee Chris Byrd and District 4 trustee Doug Grob were re-elected and ran unopposed in a ballot election that wrapped up April 5. Byrd currently is president of the board and has served since 1998.
