Softball: Loggers cut down Whitefish, 12-2

WHITEFISH — Kelsey Klin and Devon Gallagher both went 2-for-3 and Hannah England went the distance in the circle as Libby topped Whitefish 12-2 in Northwestern A softball play Saturday.

Libby (2-2 overall, 1-1 league) led 4-0 after two innings and put the game away with a pair of three-run innings in the fourth and seventh.

Whitefish (0-5, 0-2) outhit Libby 8-7. Malia Morris went 3-for-4. She doubled twice.

Andrea Lamaroux also doubled for Whitefish.

Klin had a two-base hit for Libby.

Whitefish shortstop Shannon Craft helped turn two double plays.

MacKenzie Carl and Craft had RBIs.

Whitefish hosts Browning on Tuesday.
