The fourth annual Crosstown Boxing Smoker will be held Thursday at the Flathead County Fairgrounds Trade Center.

Tickets for the event are $20 for ringside seats, while general admission seating is $12 for adults and $8 for students. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. with bouts set to begin at 6:30.

Tickets for the event can be picked up at Universal Athletic Service, Twisted Bliss or Pisk Chiropractic.

The boxing card between students from Flathead and Glacier has sold out the last three years and helped raise more than $42,000 for local wrestling programs, including the two high schools and Kalispell and Evergreen youth clubs.

In addition to the local kids this year, there will be boxers from Bigfork and Columbia Falls, with each of those athletic programs receiving a boost from the event.

Nearly 60 students signed up for the smoker, and each are offered four boxing lessons at Flathead Boxing Club. The club uses the practices to separate the students into pairs based on size and ability for the fights.
