Most businesses pass alcohol compliance test

One business was found in violation of alcohol laws during a recent compliance check by the Alcohol Enforcement Team.

According to a news release from Kalispell police, an employee at Michael’s Exxon on West Idaho Street sold alcohol to an underage operative and was cited into Kalispell Municipal Court. 

A man was also arrested after buying alcohol for an underage operative and providing it in the parking lot outside a grocery store. The man was also cited into Kalispell Municipal Court.

Businesses that passed the compliance check were the Cenex Zip Trip locations on East Idaho Street, First Avenue East and U.S. 93, the Town Pump at Four Corners, Michael’s Exxon on U.S. 93, Montana Liquor and Wine, Rosauers, Brian’s Conoco, Woodland Quik Stop and Albertson’s.

The Alcohol Enforcement Team is a multi-jurisdictional task force including personnel from police departments in Kalispell, Columbia Falls, and Whitefish as well as personnel from the Montana Highway Patrol, U.S. Forest Service and Montana Fish, Wildlife, and Parks.
