Track: Cats' Osborne dashes off with 3 firsts

Columbia Falls dashman Josiah Osborne swept the sprints on Tuesday, winning the 100 (11.33), 200 (23.99) and 400 (56.41) at the Columbia Falls quadrangular track meet.

The Whitefish boys were led by double winners Sean Foley in the field — pole vault (12-6) and long jump (19-2) — and Keaton Grove and the track — 110 (15.92) and 300 (43.27) hurdles.

Whitefish won nine events and won the team title with a 240 1/2 point total. Columbia Falls had seven firsts and placed second with 225 1/2.

Eureka was third and Libby fourth.

In girls action, Eureka had the only double winners.

Emily Billow was a standout in the weight events with best distances in the shot put (33-2) and discus (98-8) while Alex Bartmess had the best times in the 1,600 (6:14.38) and 3,200 (13.26.92).

Columbia Falls easily won the team title with 297 1/2. The Wildkats had seven firsts.

Whitefish, which had four firsts, was second with a 116 total.

Eureka, with six firsts, was third and Libby fourth.
