Kalispell’s Impact Fee Committee on Tuesday will continue its review of proposed sewer impact fee increases.

Members will discuss the roughly $8 million of committed sewer projects that were factored into the fee’s calculation and in part lead to a proposed minimum fee increase from $2,499 to $4,257.

They also are set to discuss ideas about alternative funding sources that could either raise money to offset the large proposed fee increase or eliminate the fees, which are one-time charges that new construction projects must pay before they hook up to the city’s sewer system.

Tuesday’s meeting starts at 4 p.m. in Kalispell City Hall, 201 First Ave. E. It is open to the public.

Impact Fee Committee meetings are being moved from a small meeting room into city council chambers to accommodate additional public interest in the process.
