No laughter when clown tries to cash in
A man who may have been preparing for a role in a remake of “Killer Klowns from Outer Space” was reported to the Kalispell Police Department after coming into a First Avenue West business twice trying to cash a check. The man was described as having long red hair, wearing a trench coat and clown makeup and carrying a big piece of glass shaped like a sword. The man only had a paper ID that didn’t look like him.
The creepy clown-man was later reported sitting at a U.S. 93 South bar talking to himself with the piece of glass sitting next to him. The caller from the bar also noted the man was wearing a dress.
A frantic woman reported a 14-year-old boy stole a pickup truck from his brother and was trying to run over people near Hutton Ranch Road. Officers were unable to locate the boy.
A Third Avenue East woman reported sometime while she was home a man wearing a jacket and sunglasses and carrying a laptop snuck in and hid in the bathroom before fleeing the residence.
A customer service manager at a U.S. 93 North business reported a problem with a threatening customer who had used a threatening tone. He said the woman “made his skin crawl” and that he didn’t trust her.
Officers were dispatched to a rollover accident on First Avenue East in which everyone escaped harm.
A youth who accidentally called police while trying to call Pizza Hut was extremely rude and not forthcoming with information, eventually saying “what the (expletive), is this a new (expletive) law or something?”
A man who shared with the Whitefish Police Department his belief that youths at the beach who were being loud were also possibly getting in his truck told a dispatcher that someone needed to investigate before he got out his .45 and handled it himself.
A tiny three-legged dog not wearing a collar or tags — but wearing a brown and white sweater — followed a woman to her Park Avenue home and wouldn’t leave for some time.
A pair of women wanted charges pressed after they were assaulted inside a Central Avenue bar.
Several shots were heard in the area of a construction zone near East Second Street.
A man who was either ignorant or apathetic of the law was arrested for resisting arrest and having an open container on Central Avenue.
Columbia Falls Police Department officers responded to Sixth Street West after a man in his 20s followed a 13-year-old girl when she got off the bus. The girl was pulled into the police station by an officer to fill out a report. The man later came out of a house and chased the girl home. The outcome of the incident is unclear.
A Martha Road woman complained that she was being threatened and harassed by a bill collector and that she didn’t owe money to anyone.
