Man identifies suspected firestarting RV

A U.S. 93 North resident contacted the Kalispell Police Department after witnessing who he believed was the suspect in the Friday evening fires along Helena Flats Road, believed to have been started by a recreational vehicle dragging a piece of metal. The man said he saw an RV matching the description of the suspect RV, and described the driver as wearing black motorcycle leathers, having long gray pigtails, and walking with a limp.

A concerned Second Avenue West apartment resident reported a man came downstairs freaking out, screaming, that there were two dead bodies in his apartment.

A woman who may be in the running for angriest woman in the Flathead was reported by another woman who said she was playing in the grass next to a dog on Third Avenue East when the owner came out and beat the dog. She also reportedly had a child in her arms, and after beating the dog grabbed the child violently around the arm and slapped the child’s arm when the child tried to get away.

For quite possibly the first time, a group of mischievous pranksters were actually seen throwing eggs at vehicles, this time on U.S. 93 North near Conway Drive.

A man with a BB gun assaulted a woman in a U.S. 93 South parking lot and threatened other people with the gun as well.

A Seventh Avenue East resident complained that their brother pawned their XBox video game console.


The Whitefish Police Department received two calls about a pair of men with a pair of dogs harassing people for work on East First Street and yelling at people on Central Avenue.

A homeless man was dropped off at a different motel after being found passed out by an ice machine of a U.S. 93 South motel.

A woman reportedly entered an East Seventh Street school and threatened another woman’s 8-year-old son over a supposed incident involving her own child.


A man contacted the Columbia Falls Police Department after heading out to shoot some pool and enjoy some drinks with his friends when his ex-girlfriend showed up with her new boyfriend and they got into an argument. When the man finally left, he found his tires had been slashed, and when he returned home, he found his house had been burglarized.

A report that a very drunk man had been screaming obscenities at children for being in the dugout of the baseball fields near First Avenue East turned out to be a misunderstanding.
