Statue of white-tailed deer to be unveiled
A bronze statue of two heroic-sized white-tailed deer is being installed this week at the northwest corner of U.S. 93 and U.S. 2 in Kalispell.
The statue was commissioned by the Kalispell City Council in November 2007 and has been sitting in city storage for several years.
“I strongly believe in the value and power of art in a community and I am thrilled for the opportunity to partner with the city to give something back to the Flathead Valley,” sculptor Sherry Salari said in a city press release announcing the statue’s installation.
The statue is being installed on a concrete base that was donated by Gary Collier of Kalispell Neon.
It will be publicly unveiled at 11 a.m. Friday.
