Man reports son for car theft

Monday evening, the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man who reportedly has been stealing cars. The man’s father told deputies his son brought home a stolen car. The son left the home but deputies apprehended him near Montana 40.

A teenager with a big red truck promised to be “very diligent and prudent while driving” after someone complained he was driving recklessly and ran over a dog. The teen said he tried to apologize but the dog’s owners would not accept it.

A woman on Angel Point Road reportedly threatened to “lay out” another woman if she yelled at her dog again.

Deputies are investigating a report of several teenagers sneaking into a Bigfork-area elementary school through the kitchen exhaust. They damaged the school’s kitchen and spilled floor stripper all over.

Monday morning, a Lone Fox Trail woman expressed concerns about a neighbor. She said her dog got out and was chasing his cat. He caught the dog and came over with the dog and a gun and threatened to shoot the animal next time.

Mailboxes on Bowdish Road were spray painted and shot with paint balls.

A Crestview Drive woman said she got a creepy text message. It said, “I am going to start stalking you.”

Someone broke a county vehicle’s windshield on South Main Street.

A woman said a man driving a green Jeep with a broken turn signal followed her for several miles and then stopped in front of her on Braig Road. The man asked her if she had been drinking and then asked her to remove her keys and put them on the floor board. He went back to his vehicle and then returned, saying he couldn’t hold her because he was a firefighter. The man was not rude or aggressive, the woman said.

A man saw a young boy playing in Haskill Basin Road. He took the boy home but was puzzled by his mother. She refused to come outside or say anything.

A woman on Kalispell Acres called deputies distraught and crying about threatening emails she received. The emails had told her not to call the police or she would be assassinated in two days.

A teenager said his sister was smoking pot with their parents.

Monday, a woman told Kalispell Police her purse was stolen at a grocery store. She found it hanging on the back of a chair when she got home.

A grocery store manager complained about vehicles speeding by the store when employees are unloading trucks.

A Rockefeller Drive man complained about a neighbor screaming obscenities at his 6-year-old daughter.

Officers arrested a 23-year-old man who lost control and started smashing things because mom took his video games away.

Early Tuesday morning, a Third Street West man told police that some unknown guy walked into his apartment and passed out on the couch. He tried to wake the stranger up but couldn’t. Officers arrested him for trespassing.

A woman on Glacier Circle said her garage light turned itself on and her house started humming. She suspected it was related to a lightning storm.

A woman reported $950 stolen from her checking account.

Whitefish Police on Monday arrested a man who reportedly choked his girlfriend and chased her around with a knife.

Transients making a mess on Mill Avenue were asked to move along.

Someone reported a drunk man sleeping and snoring on the side of East Second Street early Tuesday. The man was given a lift to a hotel.

Monday, an Eddy Court resident told Columbia Falls Police about a door-to-door salesman with a heavy accent selling kids’ books. The resident said he read something on Facebook saying the salesman is a sex trafficker. A caller on Scenic Drive also reported the salesman and asked if he is a human trafficker.
