Neighbor doesn't appreciate a good stake

The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office got a trespass complaint Thursday involving a neighbor who keeps moving survey stakes on the reporting party’s property on Bigfork Stage Road.

There was a verbal dispute on Hellman Lane in the Columbia Falls area involving a man who was hired to move furniture but moved only some of it and refused to move any more because he didn’t think he was being paid adequately.

An elderly woman was caught on video stealing ice, food and other items from a store on U.S. 2 East in Evergreen.

A person claimed that two youths on bicycles stole the reporting party’s iPod at a location on U.S. 2 in Evergreen.

A Lake Five Road resident reported that someone stole his no trespassing signs.

A man who reported the theft of items from his vehicle while he was floating the North Fork of the Flathead River earlier this week called to say he found one of the items for sale out of Hungry Horse on Craigslist.

There was a report of an intoxicated man walking down the middle of U.S. 2 in the Essex area. The caller also said a moose was hit by a vehicle in the same area.

Kalispell Police responded to a motorist who was following a suspected drunken driver in a Dodge Charger with Canadian plates on U.S. 93 North Thursday evening. The woman was followed all the way to a hotel on U.S. 2 west, where she was located by police and arrested for drunken driving.

A person who was working a booth at the fair reported that when his bosses checked to see how much money he had collected, they made it seem like he was cheating them.

Another business on South Main Street reported a window had been shot with a BB gun. There had been a couple of similar reports the previous day.

A man was escorted from a pharmacy on Conway Drive after he became very demanding about his prescription refill and made threats against front office staff.

A man reported that his cellphone was stolen from a bar on U.S. 2 West.

A bike was stolen from a garage on Fifth Avenue East.

There was a fight involving multiple people on Windriver Drive.

Security requested police assistance after a patient got violent and started throwing things at nurses at Kalispell Regional Medical Center.

At about 1 a.m. Friday, two women were fighting at a Fifth Avenue East residence.

A man was injured after he rode his bicycle into the side of a vehicle at U.S. 93 North and Commons Way.

At about 11 a.m., there was a two vehicle head-on collision at U.S. 93 and Commons Way, with at least one person requiring medical transport.

 

Whitefish Police got a report Thursday about a suspicious vehicle, up on blocks with all the wheels missing, near a condominium complex on U.S. 93 South. It turned out that the car was going to be repossessed, but the owner took the wheels and stereo first. A repo man was going to put wheels on the car so it could be towed.

After a traffic stop on U.S. 93 South, a man was arrested, but the charges were unclear.

A person found a a tool bag on Spokane Avenue that apparently fell out of a construction vehicle.

A man called for assistance on his way to North Valley Hospital because his grandson got kicked by a horse. He said the boy was bleeding from the mouth and losing consciousness.

A man apparently walked into a Central Avenue bar with a gun on his belt, prompting a bartender to request help in kicking him out.

A Skyles Place resident wanted help getting rid of people who were sleeping in his yard. When officers arrived, the people were gone but their belongings were there, and they were taken to the police station.

Two screens were removed and a window was pried out of a Minnesota Avenue residence in an apparent burglary.

At about 1:45 a.m. Friday, a woman was arrested in the vicinity of a Central Avenue bar after she assaulted someone.

After a traffic stop on Second Avenue West North Thursday, Columbia Falls Police arrested a man for driving with a suspended license and for warrants.

A flat-screen television and a laptop computer were reported stolen from a Diane Road residence.

A car was scratched by vandals on Martha Road. The vehicle owner said the vandalism is an ongoing issue.
