Devra S. Kostelecky, 55

Our mother, Devra S. Kostelecky, passed away at the age of 55, on July 24, 2013.

She was born on Dec. 10, 1957, as the fifth of six children to Nadine and Virgil Holt in St. Charles, Mo. 

She was preceded in death by both parents; her brothers, Duane Holt and David Holt; and her sisters, Betty Strong and Donna Camp. “In such mighty company she now resides, beside her siblings and parents who loved her.”

A devoted mother and friend, many people described her as the most loving and giving woman they had ever met. She saw the good in people when no one else did. She invited guests over for holiday dinners if she knew they didn't have anywhere else to go. She reveled in driving her Mustang with the top down and the breeze in her hair, and cheered her beloved Dallas Cowboys on for better or worse. 

She's remembered for her warm smile, infectious laugh, quick wit and vitality. The kindest soul you could have ever known.

She is survived by her children, Shauna Cassity of Austin, Texas, and Shelley John and Scott Kostelecky, both of Kalispell; and one surviving brother, Dale Holt.
