Man chases down rolling pickup truck

Whitefish Police got a strange report Wednesday about a man falling out of a pickup truck that continued to roll down East Sixth Street. The man got up and chased the truck, but the reporting party wasn’t sure if he caught up to it or not.

A woman calling from a Baker Avenue residence said her son was outside trying to kick a door in. The son, who is not allowed at the residence, was arrested.

The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office got a report Wednesday from an Ashley Lake Road resident who said someone stole her keys and attempted steal her vehicle. The thief drove the vehicle into a nearby brick retaining wall, and apparently fled the scene.

A Woodland Road resident reported having vehicles broken into, with a radar detector and an iPod stolen.

Locks on a gate were cut at a Sunnyslope Road residence near Lakeside.

A woman calling from Swan Mountain Drive reported a guest damaged property in her home.

After being out of town for a couple weeks, a man returned to find his trailer on U.S. 93 south of Whitefish had been ransacked.

A man calling Columbia Falls Police from Ninth Street West said his ex-girlfriend stole items from his house.
