Stella Mae Moon, 88

Stella Mae Moon, 88, passed away on Friday, Aug. 23, 2013, at her home in Kalispell. 

Stella was born Sept. 4, 1925, in Princeton, Mo., to Michael and Serefina (Domico) De Angelo. She was raised in Des Moines, Iowa, where she attended schools. 

Stella knew a friend from the second grade; his name was Robert Moon Sr. They were married in Princeton in 1942 — a union of 70 years. 

Stella worked at two different defense plants. She also worked as a nurse in the late ‘40s and early ‘50s. 

Stella was president of the Republican Party in Iowa. She was a member of the Red Hat Society, loved bowling and was a proud member of the NRA. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a daughter, Sharon Miller. 

Stella is survived by her husband, Robert E. Moon, of Kalispell; children, Robert and Gary Moon; and siblings, Lucille, Marie, Sara and Tony. 

Memorial services will be held at a later date.
