Handmade Holiday offers locally made art

| December 4, 2013 6:00 PM

The second annual Handmade Holiday will take place Friday and Saturday at the Bohemian Grange Hall near Whitefish.

Twelve local artists have joined together to create an intimate artisan showcase for the holiday shopping season. The show will feature ceramics, sculptures, fiber art, handmade growlers, jewelry, gourmet baked treats, Glacier County Honey and local letterpress works.

"Because the show is 100 percent handmade and local, people can find comfort knowing that they are truly getting a one-of-a-kind piece of art," said Callie Hulslander-Cooper, one of the show’s curators.

"I hope to see the valley support a local and handmade artisan show, and, in the process, fill a niche when it comes to holiday shopping."

There will be a reception at 5 p.m. Friday with drinks and hors d'oeuvres. The show will run from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.
