Holiday Recipe Contest submissions end soon!

| December 6, 2013 10:48 PM

The Daily Inter Lake's Best Holiday Recipe Contest continues to take submissions until Monday for local cooks who want a chance at winning more than $400 in prizes.

You can bring your recipe to the front counter of the Inter Lake from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday. You can also enter online anytime until Monday at midnight at the Inter Lake's facebook page:

Think Thanksgiving or Christmas or get creative and provide recipes for Easter, the Fourth of July, Washington’s Birthday or any holiday on the calendar. We want to see all your recipes that bring holiday cheer to the dinner table!

Enter once or as many times as you want.

Top prize in the Best Holiday Recipe Contest is a $250 gift card to Super 1 Foods. Second place will earn a $75 gift card to Super 1, and third prize is two cookbooks from the Taste of Home Cooking School.

Send us your favorite recipe and anything else you think will help you win, including photos and videos. We are looking for family favorites, so original recipes from grandma, mom or yourself all qualify. But we don’t want to see any recipes that are copied from other recipe books!

Our Facebook fans will be able to vote in the contest and decide the three finalists. The finalists will be asked to prepare their recipes for judging by a panel of Daily Inter Lake employees, who will then determine first, second and third place.

The contest will accept submissions until Sunday Dec. 8.

Voting begins on Tuesday, Dec. 10, and continues until at least Monday, Dec. 16. Registered users can vote once a day for their favorite recipe.

By the way, voters are going to be eligible to win their own prizes in a random drawing at the end of the contest. One lucky voter will be selected to win a $75 gift card to Super 1, plus another voter will win the “Best Loved Healthy Recipes” cookbook.

Winners and other recipes entered in the contest will be featured later in a Montana Holiday Traditions Recipe Book to be published by the Daily Inter Lake.
