Jacket loaded with cash stolen

The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office got a report Sunday about a jacket with $5,200 in cash in it stolen from a home on Frontage Road in the Columbia Falls area.

A woman calling from a Shady Lane residence asked for assistance because her ex-husband was threatening her and was coming over to take her daughter.

There was a disturbance involving a man and a woman on Second Street South in Martin City.

There was a report of an avalanche in the vicinity of Camp Misery at the Jewel Basin. The reporting party said he came across a skier who had a bloody nose, but apparently nobody else was hurt or missing.

A man who was checking a water main on Ridgewood Drive because his pipes were frozen had an encounter with an angry neighbor who threatened him for some reason.

There was a report of a man walking down U.S. 2 near West Glacier, pulling a suitcase behind him.

 

A Sherry Lane resident told Kalispell Police that a mailbox had been run over sometime over the weekend.

There was a report of a power transformer blowing up and catching a pole on fire in the vicinity of Hawthorn Avenue.

A woman calling Monday morning from Sixth Avenue East reported that her son withdrew $500 from her bank account without her permission.

A man was arrested on a warrant while gassing up a vehicle at a convenience store on U.S. 2 West.

 

Whitefish Police got a call Sunday from a woman who said her vehicle was stolen while she was at a concert in a Central Avenue bar. She said she left the car unlocked with the keys inside.

A  woman was arrested after a motor vehicle accident on Baker Avenue.

A Whitefish Avenue neighborhood mailbox was completely knocked over, possibly after being struck by a vehicle.

A radio, iPod and other items were stolen from an unlocked vehicle on East First Street.

 

Columbia Falls Police got a report regarding six men fighting in an alley behind a Nucleus Avenue bar Sunday.

 

The Montana Highway Patrol responded to a two-vehicle crash  on Bown Hill near Libby Monday afternoon. Four people were transported by ambulance to St. John’s Hospital in Libby.
