Tip-off Tourney: Columbia Falls girls blast Anaconda, 64-22

POLSON — Haley Belgarde scored 20 points, Winter Kemppainen added 14 and Columbia Falls crushed Anaconda 64-22 in its opening game at the Northwestern A/ Southwestern A tip-off tournament Friday.

Columbia Falls (1-0) led by just two points after the first quarter but pulled away in the second and third frames when it outscored Anaconda 41-10.

Courtney Moodry led Anaconda with nine points.

Josie Spoklie added nine points and Tessa Robertson scored eight for the Valkyries.

Bigfork (1-0) outscored Corvallis 9-4 in the first quarter and extended its lead to 19-10 by halftime.

Corrine Sanderson scored 14 points to lead Corvallis.

POLSON — Reigning Montana Gatorade player of the year Taylor Goligoski scored 26 points as Hamilton coasted to a victory against Whitefish.

Hamilton led 15-0 after the first quarter and 37-2 at halftime.

Jordan Peterson scored a game-high eight points for Dillon while Kaelen Wall led Polson (0-1) with six points.
