Clarence Rea McKenzie, 86
Clarence Rea McKenzie, 86, passed away in Columbia Falls at the Montana Veterans Home Nov. 16, 2013.
Clarence was born in Sheridan on May 27, 1927, to Edna and William McKenzie, the fourth child of seven. He enlisted in the Army immediately after graduating from Sheridan High School in 1945. He served in Korea as a sergeant until 1947, where he proudly served his country!
After returning to Alder, he operated the family mercantile until enrolling at Montana State University-Bozeman, graduating with honors and having maintained a rank in scholarship in mechanical engineering in the first fifth of the Class of 1967.
He accepted employment with the Anaconda Aluminum Plant in Columbia Falls and was employed there until retirement in 1984.
Clarence is survived by his wife, Margaret; five children; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; one sister and three brothers.
His parents, one sister and brother, and a grandson preceded him in death.
Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held at a future date in Sheridan.
