Hospital visitor very unwelcome
Officers and deputies from the Kalispell Police Department and Flathead County Sheriff’s Office swarmed Kalispell Regional Medical Center at approximately 1:40 p.m. Monday, when hospital security requested assistance kicking out a man from whom they had previously taken a large knife. One deputy reported the man was to be considered armed and dangerous. He was eventually located and banned from the premises.
The Blankenship Fire Department was dispatched to North Fork Road approximately two or three miles north of Camas Road after a propane truck tipped over. No propane leaked from the truck as a result of the accident. The Columbia Falls Fire Department also provided an engine after a call for assistance.
A pair of vicious dogs attacked a man on Sunset Drive, one of them biting his back end, leaving a 4- to 5-inch scratch through the seat of his pants. The owner of the offending Labrador mix was educated by a Flathead County Sheriff’s Office deputy on the county dog ordinances, including those on having a vicious dog or a dog at large.
A pair of possible prankster ice fisherman were located by a deputy after a passerby reported seeing a flare go up over McWenneger Slough. The passerby yelled out across the ice but did not get a response.
Mary Kay consultants are also being targeted by local scammers according to a South Cedar Drive woman who said someone sent her a check for more than the amount of the purchase, asking her to cash the check and send her the remainder, described as “a lot of money.”
A pair of deer carcasses were reported disposed of on a man’s parents’ property on Prairie View Road.
A Brunner Road woman reported that while living with friends, they stole her stuff and pawned it.

The Kalispell Police Department lobby became the temporary home for a very drunk man who told an officer he needed help and had nowhere to go.
A pair of vagrants were sent on their way and advised to stay out of a private-property dumpster on Appleway Drive after they were reported digging through it, ripping things apart and leaving trash all around on the ground.

A friendly German shepherd was returned to its owner after the dog, festively dressed in a green collar and a red, green and white bandana, wandered into a Meadow Vista Loop garage.
A woman reported to police for leaving children in a running vehicle on Third Avenue East North was reportedly on her cellphone “using a four-letter-word vocabulary” as she drove away.

After a car was reported parked at a U.S. 93 South fast-food restaurant for more than an hour with the passenger door wide open, it was found that the owner’s son had driven the vehicle to the area on his way to go skiing and he “got a little too excited to get going and forgot to shut the door.” A Whitefish Police Department officer shut the door for the forgetful son.
A 45-year-old woman was banned from a U.S. 93 South business after she was caught shoplifting from the store and arrested.
