Homewrecking peacocks reported
A pack of problematic peacocks were reported to the Flathead County Sheriff’s Department by a Lakeside resident, who reported the birds had been showing up, had since had babies and were now tearing up the Stoner Creek Road property. He was advised that county animal control officers don’t deal with peacocks and was given the phone number of a wildlife control specialist for suggestions on how to keep them off his property.
A Bigfork resident on Golf Terrace reported U.S. Postal Service representatives went door-to-door in Eagle Bend advising that mail had been found outside the boxes and to call and report the incident to police in case something was determined to have been stolen.
A Springwood Lane resident reported she left her door unlocked when she left home earlier that day, and when she returned home the front door was open and someone had gone through everything in the whole house.

A man had to be held to the ground by his brother and employees of a U.S. 2 West bar after the man punched a hole in the ceiling of the bar and was thrown out. He was arrested on several preliminary charges, including violating his probation, and was incarcerated in the Flathead County Detention Center.
A Columbia Falls-area man reported his belief that his son is involved in a methamphetamine drug ring after the son stole $4,000 from a neighbor.
