A Kalispell man has pleaded guilty to felony criminal endangerment and misdemeanor drunk driving after initially being charged with felony drunk driving.

Danel Elgin, 57, entered his pleas to the charges on Dec. 12 as part of a plea agreement.

On April 18, Elgin was stopped by Kalispell police after driving with a headlight out.

He displayed signs of intoxication during the stop and later failed field-sobriety and breath-alcohol tests.

The plea agreement recommends a four-year suspended sentence for the endangerment conviction and a six-month suspended sentence for the drunk driving.

A sentencing hearing is scheduled Feb. 20.
