Floyd 'Skip' Reisinger, 67

| December 19, 2013 3:41 PM

Floyd “Skip” Reisinger, 67, was born April 16, 1946, and passed away on Dec. 4, 2013.

Although a resident of Kalispell, Skip’s time on earth ended in Colorado where he had been flown for surgery after a lengthy illness. He fought for life until his strength and courage could no longer sustain him. He died with a son by his side and the love of family and friends in his heart.

Skip grew up in Bellflower, Calif., and lived in Yucca Valley with his wife and sons for many years before moving to Montana.

He was a Vietnam War veteran. Injuries he suffered in Vietnam plagued him throughout the remainder of his life.

Skip met life with determination and a wry sense of humor. He had the ability to listen quietly, assess a situation then, in a few words, offer a logical solution.

His wife, Lana, preceded him in death in August 2013. “He is together again with his one true love.”

Skip and Lana left a cherished legacy of love and laughter.

He is survived by sons, Brad and wife Brittany, and Todd and wife Keri; grandchildren, Payton, Hunter, Dayton, Sydney, Weston, Cameron and Dawson; and a brother and sister and their families.
