Margaret Onalee Yerkes, 82
Margaret Onalee Yerkes, 82, passed away Dec. 19, 2013, at Brendan House surrounded by her family.
She was born July 9, 1931, in Kalispell to Adam and Barbara Foster. She attended Cayuse Prairie School and graduated from Flathead High School.
She married Charles E. Yerkes and they had three children, Charles L. “Butch” Yerkes, Barbara Yerkes and Laurie Hatleberg.
She worked for the Mode O Day clothing store and Rosauers in Kalispell. She also worked as a dental assistant for Dr. Korn and Dr. Allison for many years. She retired from there to take care of her ailing mother. After her mother passed she still needed something to do so she went to work for Kalispell Regional Medical Center until she finally decided to retire for good. She was a lifelong member of St. Matthew’s Parish.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; a brother; and a grandson.
She is survived by her son, Butch and wife Mitzi; daughters, Barbara Yerkes, and Laurie Hatleberg and husband Kirt; six grandchildren, Chris and wife Heidi, Jeff and wife Sarah, Jesse Ford, Crystal Ford, Dan Ford and Andy Ford; and seven great-grandchildren, Cheyenne, Dawson and Brady Yerkes, Zack Fisher, Kylie Mercer, Adiva Clark Zolimen and Trevor Clark. She is also survived by her niece and nephews.
Visitation will be at 4 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 26, at Buffalo Hill Funeral Home, with a rosary said at 6 p.m. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 27, at Buffalo Hill Funeral Home.
