Art Parties will benefit Glacier Park

| December 25, 2013 6:00 PM

Stumptown Art Studio has partnered with the Glacier National Park Conservancy to host a series of Art Parties to benefit the preservation of Glacier National Park.

Art Parties will be hosted from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Jan. 15, Feb. 5 and March 5.

Participants will decorate hiking sticks and donate them to the Backpackers Ball, the conservancy’s annual signature fundraising event to benefit Glacier National Park. The 2014 ball is slated for Aug. 2.

Each Art Party will include a different artist that will guide participants through the creative process of designing their own masterpiece. The hiking sticks will be used as decorations and auction items at the Backpackers Ball.

The cost is $25 per person, per event. Each workshop is limited to six participants. The cost includes the hiking stick.

Participants are asked to collect materials of all different mediums that will allow them to express their own style.
