Local art on display at library

Flathead County Library has launched a series of exhibits by local artists.

“The traditional library is evolving and expanding to become more of a community cultural center and gathering place,” library director Kim Crowley said. “So why not provide space for local artists to showcase their work?”

Works by Flathead Valley artists Brenda Boys, Jordonna Dores, Sally Herndon and Maggie Logan will be on display through the end of January on the main floor of the Kalispell library, located at 247 First Ave. E. Several pieces are available for purchase.

Local artists of all ages and experience levels are invited to apply for the next exhibit, which will be hung in early February.
