Thief tries to sell bicycle to owner

An employee of a Sixth Avenue West store contacted the Kalispell Police Department after a man came in to sell a bicycle and the employee recognized it as his own bicycle, which had been stolen. When he and other employees confronted the man, he fled in his vehicle and left the bicycle behind.

A Third Street West woman living in a duplex reported the building smelled like marijuana and wanted to know what she could do, since she believed the smell was coming from the owners of the duplex.

An officer stopped a man from getting into his vehicle on Sixth Avenue West, believing the man to be drunk. He took the man’s keys.

Vehicles were egged on Parkway Drive and East California Street

Drug paraphernalia was recovered on Sunnyview Lane and turned over to police.

Cash was stolen from a Fourth Avenue East.

A gun was stolen on Appleway Drive.

A mailbox was vandalized on East Oregon Street.

A sign was damaged on Second Avenue West.

A 911 misdial was reported to the Whitefish Police Department after dispatchers answered a call from a woman who said “Oh my God, I called the wrong number.” She told the dispatcher she was showing a 911 joke to a friend and accidentally dialed the number.

A Pomeranian was taken to the animal shelter and a citation left for its owner after the dog was dropped off at a park several times, where it acted aggressively toward people and their dogs.

A vehicle stolen on Lupfer Avenue was found two hours later around the corner from where its owner said she parked it.

The Columbia Falls Police Department received contact from a Diane Road resident twice after a car kept stopping in front of a nearby home throughout the early morning hours Friday, leaving its music up loud and keeping the resident awake.

A man was arrested on a warrant on Ninth Street West.
