Popp leads KATS at MAC Winterfest

MISSOULA — Antoinette Popp won four events and placed second in three more to pace the KATS at the MAC Winterfest Invitational at Grizzy Pool Jan. 25-27.

Popp, competing in the 9-10 age division, had the best swim times in the 400 individual medley (5:40.09), 100 butterfly (1:17.54), 100 freestyle (1:04.59) and 200 freestyle (2:24.30).

She was the runner-up in the 50 breaststroke, 100 backstroke and 50 butterfly.

The KATS had two more individual winners — Andrew Bouda, 8-and-under, in the 25 breaststroke (28.83) and Austin Strobbe, 13-19, in the 50 breaststroke (37.29).
