Woman says 'never mind' to truck threat

Flathead County Sheriff’s deputies were on the lookout for a man in a black truck Sunday after his wife called from First Avenue South in Hungry Horse to report that he had tried to run her over with the truck. She later called and said never mind, she doesn’t want to pursue charges.

A person calling from a restaurant on U.S. 2 in Evergreen said there was a suspicious man who was spray-painting a vehicle in the parking lot. The man painted the vehicle bright green and drove off.

A man calling from Birch Drive reported seeing a man stealing a power washer from his garage.

A man reported that as he was driving northbound on U.S. 93 in the Olney area, his windshield mysteriously exploded. He thought it happened as he passed a pedestrian, but he could not find any projectile in the vehicle or any other evidence of why the windshield shattered.

Early Monday, at about 12:30 a.m., a woman was detained for a mental health evaluation after she made suicide threats at an address on Montana 35 in Evergreen.

Kalispell Police arrested a man on a probation violation Sunday at an East California Street residence.

A bleeding man was seen staggering down the road in the area of Seventh Street West and Seventh Avenue West.

At about 10 p.m., a maintenance worker at a South Main Street business reported that someone was pounding on the back door.

A man was arrested for drunk driving after a traffic stop on Fifth Avenue West at about 12:30 a.m. Monday.

There was a report of a woman stealing medicine from the pharmacy area at a store on Third Avenue East North.

At about 2:20 a.m., a vehicle was stuck on the railroad tracks off Seventh Avenue East North, leading to the arrest of a man for drunk driving.

After a woman called from a Village Loop address to report that she wanted her uncle removed from the area, the man was detained for a mental health evaluation.

A teenage boy was arrested for partner/family member assault after an altercation with his aunt at a Second Avenue East residence.

An employee at a bar on First Avenue West reported receiving five bad checks from an individual.

A vehicle was broken into at an auto dealership on U.S. 93 South.

Whitefish Police receive a report of a couple having sex in a vehicle on Colorado Avenue Sunday.

A woman reported that her wallet was stolen from a vehicle sometime Saturday while it was parked at a Central Avenue business.

An Eighth Street West resident said a man and woman attempted to steal a gas can from a garage.

Columbia Falls Police got a call Sunday from a woman who said there was an unwanted man on her Ninth Street West property, and she said the man has been stalking her. The man ended up leaving the property.

The Smith Valley Fire Department responded to a chimney fire that caused some damage to a home on U.S. 2 in the Kila area at about 3:20 a.m. Monday. Also responding were the Marion, Evergreen, South Kalispell and  West Valley fire departments.
