College offers software class for writers

Flathead Valley Community College will offer a workshop Monday and Wednesday for people wanting to learn about Scrivener, a word-processing program for fiction, nonfiction, academic and business writers.

Scrivener is an inexpensive computer program that allows a writer to outline, edit and write all within the same program and on the same screen. Scrivener can be used by both Mac and Windows users.

Taught by local author Dennis Foley, sessions will meet from 6 to 8 p.m. The cost to enroll is $59, and preregistration is required.
