Redhead Express on tap in Kalispell

| February 6, 2013 6:00 PM

Redhead Express brings its unique, multitalented combination of music and dance to Kalispell Feb. 28.

The concert, part of Flathead Valley Concerts Association’s 2012-13 season, starts at 7:30 p.m. at Flathead High School, 644 Fourth Ave. W.

In 2007, the Walker family left Alaska on a whim to travel and perform. Five years and hundreds of shows later, a seasoned touring and recording ensemble has been created, with national performing credits, including two seasons in Branson, Mo.

Redhead Express has collected a variety of accolades along the way, including Best Male Vocalist, Best Family Show, Outstanding Young Female Artist and Bass Player of the Year — all from its stints in Branson. The National Traditional Country Music Association awarded the band Album of the Year for its first recording, “Paintin’ the Town Red.”

Now on a national tour with Live On Stage and under the tutelage of Nashville, Tenn., super-producer Paul Worley (Martina McBride, Lady Antebellum, Dixie Chicks), Redhead Express is poised for the big stage.

Admission to the Kalispell concert is by season subscription or single ticket at the door. Tickets are $25 for adults, $10 for students or $60 for families.
