Judith Helen Schneider Gurzynski, 69

Judith H. Gurzynski “left this world” Feb. 2, 2013, from North Valley Hospital in Whitefish, after many years of struggling with heart and lung disease.

Judy was born Sept. 1, 1943, in Butte. She was the second of three children born to Harold and Audrey Schneider. She attended school in Polson and Whitefish and graduated from Ronan High School.

She moved to Vancouver, Wash., in 1978, and later to Portland and Milwaukie, Ore. After over 20 years working for the electronics firm OECO in Portland, she retired in 2009 and fulfilled her dream of returning to Montana. She spent the remaining years of her life in Whitefish.

Judy will be remembered by many for her skill at numerous crafts, which she loved bestowing on her friends and family. She enjoyed the outdoors and loved spending time in and on the lake at the family property in Montana.

Judy is survived by her four sons, Fred Greiff and wife Sandy of Reliance, Wyo., Ross Greiff of Whitefish, Julian of Milwaukie and Jesse Gurzynski of Whitefish; and two grandchildren, Breanna Greiff of Reliance, Wyo., and Elijah Gurzynski of Portland. Her brother Delbert Schneider of Kalispell and sister Liane Jett of Whitefish also survive her.
