Class AA state champions Kaleb Mitchell (140) and Jackson Barber (160), and third-place finisher Dawson Day (171) of Glacier and Class A state champion Shonn Roberts (112) of Columbia Falls have been selected for the 5th annual Tournament of Champions All-Star Wrestling Event in Great Falls on Saturday.

All four wrestlers competed in the All-Class State Wrestling Tournament last weekend in Billings.

The personal injury law firm of Hoyt and Blewett PLLC in Great Falls sponors the Tournament of Champions. The one-day, single-elimination event will include three state champions, plus additional wild-card entries.

Last year’s event drew more than half of the state champions from Classes AA, A, and B/C.

The semifinals will be held Saturday morning at Paris Gibson Education Center, 2400 Central Ave., at 10 a.m., followed by the championships at noon.

Weigh-ins will be held at 8 a.m. and all wrestlers will be given a five-pound weight allowance over that required at the state tournament.

CMR wrestling coach and publisher of the Montana Recruiter Wrestling Magazine Eric Hinebauch said he is, “fired up” about the tournament.

“This event helps promote the sport of wrestling and provides a great opportunity for these wrestlers to showcase their talents,” Hinebauch said in a press release.

The law firm helps with providing free lodging for coaches and wrestlers and compensation for gas mileage.

Attorney Zander Blewett and his sons, Anders and Drew, all former wrestlers who now practice personal injury law.

“We are excited to see this all-star event continue to grow,” said Zander Blewett.

“The word is out, the champs are attending and the wrestling doesn’t get any better.”
