Thief takes ring, peanut butter
A theft on Second Avenue West was reported to the Kalispell Police Department on Monday. Stolen items included a ring, $75 worth of JC Penney Christmas cards and a big jar of peanut butter, the caller said.
Someone broke into a building on Second Avenue West, a woman told police Monday morning. She saw her office was ransacked and left the building.
On Sunday night, officers were called out to a fight on West Idaho Street.
Earlier on Sunday, a gas station employee said someone hit her parked car.
A 10th Avenue West woman reported the smell of marijuana coming from a neighbor’s apartment.
A woman told police that people in a yellow Toyota Scion shot a paintball gun at her and hit a vehicle next to her at Hutton Ranch Plaza. Her boyfriend later called police to say he found the people shooting the gun, asked them for it and broke it on the sidewalk.
Someone broke into a vehicle parked on Fifth Avenue East. A satellite radio was taken, a caller told police.
A vehicle was broken into on First Avenue East North. A bike and some personal belongings were taken and there was some damage to a tail light.
On Sunday morning, a Patrick Creek Road man told the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office that his landlord’s son pulled a sniper rifle on him and threatened to handcuff him.
Deputies arrested a man with a warrant out of Washington state after they found him in a Ford Explorer with fogged-up windows parked partially in the roadway on Helena Flats Road.
Later in the day, a woman complained that the owners of a business are accusing her on Facebook of stealing “a felony’s worth of merchandise” when she helped the business pack up last October.
Three men reportedly stole items from a business on East Idaho Street and escaped on foot. One of the men had a lot of acne, a caller said.
A Martin City woman said a sheriff’s posse member refused to let her into an event with her service dog. The woman provided copies of laws regarding service animals and the copies were given to posse members.
A 19-year-old man got caught shoplifting at a business on East Idaho Street.
About $4,000 worth of gold and silver coins was reported stolen from a home on East Oregon Street in Kalispell.
A woman pawned her iPod and whoever bought it has been hacking into her Facebook account.
Deputies arrested a woman on U.S. 2 near Columbia Falls for driving under the influence and criminal endangerment.
Early Monday morning, a woman on West Idaho Street complained that her neighbors were out kicking cars and yelling about killing people.
Sunday morning, a woman on Edgewood Place told Whitefish Police that her boyfriend found three dead birds on the road and believes someone may be shooting them. An officer found a dead duck but no signs of bullet holes.
A man told police he lost $2,500 Saturday night. The last place he remembered seeing the money was in a taxi in front of a bar.
